DS3 roof fading

We have a DS3 from new which is 5 years old. The roof is going milky so contacted Citroën who said take it to a garage. They were no use but a young man said they are vinyl wrapped as they have one in that is pealin off. My question to citroen was it is not of a merchantable quality that has a low life span and is not lasting the life of the car. Citroën response was its out of warranty. I had a price for replacement at £430 not something I factured in every 4 years replacin the roof. I explained the car is unsaleable due to the roof but no joy.
