Alpine GTA V6 2.5 turbo engine blue smoke !
Discussion
Hello ClassiChimi
Blue smoke is caused by burned oil. There's generally speaking three possible reasons:
- valves tightness (could be a very probable cause on a rebuilt engine)
- piston rings (have to adapt to the cylinder in a newly rebuilt engine, so also a probable cause)
- turbo (blowing cooling oil either in the combution chamber or more likely in the exhaust, where it burns). Not so likely in your case though.
Great to hear from a fellow Alpine-Man, I drive an A310 V6 myself.
Best regards,
delage.
