Particle filter fluid low - huge problem or not?

Hi,

I've got an 08 C4 Picasso, and yesterday the dash beeped and displayed the above message about particle filter fluid.

I've done a little bit of research so know what needs to be done, but my only query is how serious would it be if I didn't attend to this quickly?

Can I let it go for a few days until I can take a day off work, or should I rush it in to my friendly garage first thing Monday morning?

It needs to be done in like the next 1000 miles, not sure if the car will then refuse to start due to emissions but it is a trip to the garage to have it topped up.
Luckily newer cars (Blue HDI) can be filled up with Ad Blue without visiting the dealers
