Copied from GG

Well after changing my mind AGAIN about an E60...this caught my eye

I can get one for £9000 after part ex!! Looks stunning, kitted better.. But is it a viable car to run? Looking at a DSport. 13 reg - car giant.

Im not too keen on the E Class Merc - is that good? E200 CGi. Around £11,000 for 2010. £10k after part ex

Usual family car alternatives (Q5, Tiguan, Toaureg, etc.) but is the Citroen better value for money? Anything going wrong?

School run car, 3 kids, 1 adult usually. Holidays and weekends run by Audi A6.

Budget - £13,000.
Needs: leather, auto, nav.
Wants: full main dealer service history, 1 owner, not older than August 2008.

Sorry for too many threads and thanks.

So, any major problems I could know about? Avoid some?

I like them.
The full on hybrid4 2.0 though with brown or cream interior.
One of the few cars that went from concept to production with only relatively minor mucking about with.

Whatever you do drive an auto before buying one! Dreadful robotised manual thing, that drives like a learner with awful clutch control.

Ok, what kind of price should I be paying for a DS 5?

no idea... never driven one sorry...boxedin
I just like them as a car.
The Hybrid4 is a diesel...a diesel hybrid.

Certainly seem to hold their money quite well all things considered

One sold on cargiant for £10,799. Is that too cheap, market average is £11-12000.

I bloody love these things, they are so nice inside, shame the only petrol engine is a 1.6 turbo and not a 3.0 v6

I don't think they have many reliability problems, but the ride isn't the best but certainly better than a 5 series.

Go try one and see how much you love it, just please buy one with a interesting colour combo and not black interior.

Il be in the market for one soon.

I'll be selling mine very soon, Feb 13 dsport auto, fcsh, black, leather and nav. 34K. I'm in south bucks. I've owned it for just over 2 years and it's a great car, I'm only selling as I have a mustang incoming.

Mrs had a ds3 and changed my view of Citroen, as such I looked at the range and thought these looked really smart.

I also like the new ds3 performance black they are doing ( black with gold roof ) I know sounds horrible.

Back on subject the ds5 inside looks such a nice place to be

When do you think it'll be listed? If it's priced well for it's condition - it's clearly cared for - I will turn off notifications for Hybrid models and come and buy. I have a budget that gets me all the ones from Cargiant. Usually I can secure the deal on a weekend, if i can see it but can't buy it on the day then I will pick it up on a weekday

That being said, don't wait for me. It sounds lovely and I wish you luck in finding your buyer if I don't buy it smile

Ps:
Does it have Claudia/watchstrap leather, massaging seats, pano roof? Im confused because descriptions of Ds5's are usually very sparse.
Thanks smile

I think it will be within a week or thereabouts. It's not a hybrid though, just the 2.0 diesel auto.
