182 Trophy Welsh Weekender - September 17th/18th 2016
Discussion
Calling all 182 Trophy owners!
I'm organising a social gathering for 182 Trophy owners, whether they own a garage queen or a fully-stripped 180,000 mile track weapon. It's now an annual event - a weekend trip to some of the best roads in the UK, circa 800 miles on Welsh Tarmac.
September 17th/18th 2016
Day 1 Highlights
Start in Llangollen, North Wales
Horseshoes Pass
Nant y Garth Pass
Evo Triangle
Lake Vyrnwy
Hellfire Pass (Bwlch y Groes)
Overnight in Aberystwyth
Day 2 Highlights
Devil's Bridge Falls
Elan Valley
Rhayader
Brecon Beacons
These roads are as inspiring as the scenery is stunning so there will be plenty of opportunities for photo-stops along the way, fuel stops (for cars and drivers) and a great, relaxed, fun weekend for all. This is very much a social event so partners/friends are most welcome.
I'll be staying in Llangollen on the Friday night so I can enjoy a proper Welsh breakfast before an early start on Saturday, and then in an equally budget seafront B&B in Aberystwyth on Saturday night. I'm not going to book accommodation for anyone else, but let me know if you're interested in joining either the whole trip or just one day so I can keep you up-to-date with plans and detailed routes etc.
For more info send me a message, check out the thread on the www.cliotrophy.co.uk forum, or the event in the RenaultSport Clio Trophy Club Facebook group.
