I spotted a nail in one of my fronts tonight so the pair are going to be replaced this week (only 3mm left anyway)

Any recommendations on what suits the car?

Its currently on Conti Sportcontact 5 which are ok, but don't inspire the same confidence in the front end as my previous Dunlop sportmaxx RT did.

The car is used for a 30 mile each way backroad commute daily, never sees a track but I do like pressing on a bit wink

Has anyone tried the Michelin PS4 on a 225?

Yes and yes I have a Megane 225 and have fitted Michelin ps4 2 months ago what great tyres so much better than the dunlops I had on there , my car is a 5 door so no lsd you don't even need it with these tyres soo much grip I can't believe there are to many tyres out there better really suit the car . Highly recommended 10/10

Talking about tyres, question. One of my rears on my Voldo S80 is close to the limit, but the other one isn't, not far away though.

Should you replace both at the same time.

Bit late for you now, but for anyone else, I fitted Eagle F1's on my megane.
Did a trackday on them in the wet and they were great. Nice and progressive at the limit.

Highly recommended.

Well, its been raining every time I've driven so no idea on dry performance yet, but im suitably impressed with them on wet greasy roads

I loved driving my 106 GTi on F1s, but hated them on my e36 318iS.

This was the whole reason for my thread, certain tyres suit certain cars, and it seems the PR4 suits the megane biggrin
