Citroen C5 Service

Hello All - was tempted to put this in the South Coast forum, but I'll try here first.

Our C5 will be needing it's 24 month service soon. Looking on the citroen website you can get a quotation and usefully can check any citroen garages price for the service. Seems to range from £360 for the service and all the fluids, filters etc (main dealer about 20 miles away) to an even more eye watering £430 at my local dealer (where I actually bought the car).

This vehicle is a keeper for us as it's size does the job and houses us, our two young children and their monstrosity of a double pram in the boot fairly comfortably. Because of this I'm debating whether to seek out a decent specialist who I am hoping would shave a bit off those prices.

Anybody have any decent citroen indies they could suggest - live close to Portsmouth and work in the Guildford area so close to either of those places preferable!

Those Dealer prices sound way over the top?

Yes - that's what I thought. The breakdown from the cheapest main dealer I can find anywhere near me is as follows:

24 month service: £153.37
Replace Brake Fluid: £55.45
Replace Pollen Filter: £51.15
Replace Air Filter: £34.12
Replace Diesel Fuel Filter: £65.63
Total: £359.72.

As I say, this is the cheapest I can find anywhere near me - my local dealer (who may or may not price match this) wants £430. It states the fluids and filters are strongly recommended, but, if your vehicle is under warranty (as ours is) then they are essential.

I shall do a bit of digging on that garage you've put above - it is pretty near me so thanks for looking!
