Renault Clio 197 starting problem

I've had problems starting my wife's car before, after drive-juggling; seems it is prone to flooding.

I did the juggling on Friday, and when I tried to start it for more juggling this evening, it caught - then died and refused to play.

I've tried the standard, for flooded engines, of starting while the accelerator pedal is flat to the floor, but no joy. It usually works.

Any suggestions?
