Looking at buying a Peugeot 206 2.0 hdi for the Mrs to learn in, it's a 55 plate that's done 107,000 miles, looks nice bodywork wise.
What should I look out for any common faults with these?
Would a 55 plate have a dpf?

Cheers

Nothing really, other than all the normal stuff to look at on an old well used car of that age and mileage.Make sure it's had the cambelt replaced, has it ever had a new clutch? check out the MOT history on DVLA to see what the advisories were last time.
I would say those old Pug diesels were pretty reliable with no major problems that they all suffer with.Like all Peugeot/Citroen a few irritating electrical problems.Go through all the steering column switch functions. The comms 2000 units play up,stalks go loose, lights and indicators have mind of their own.On some the rear axle radius arm bearings have been known to break up.If they have a rear wheel will be leaning in at the top.
