Clio battery flat and car won't open
Discussion
My daughter left her 06 Clio (old shape) for a week and when she came back it had locked her out. The remote won't work and the silly only a keyhole on the passenger door doesn't do anything when turned with the key. To me it seems as if the battery is flat and there is no power to run anything. I cannot get in to open the bonnet to charge/replace the battery. Really not sure what to do next except find a way into the car and open the bonnet.
Have you had a word with a Renault specialist to find out if there is "a secret trick".
I had this with a Peugeot 307 and I have a feeling you will have to do the same as me.I managed to open the bonnet and replace the battery but the BSi needs "waking up" and the only way to do that is switch the lights on from inside the car.
I investigated every trick in the book, the last resort was smash a window, lean in,flash the lights and everything came back to life.

The N/S door lock barrel is an anti-drill lock, if the tumblers aren't engaged it will just spin. Try WD40 in the lock and work the key in and out. Power up the battery from under the car, drop the undertray and clip a wire to starter motor or alternator output then attach jump leads to this cable and earth.
