Boxing Day Dilemma
Earlier in the year I needed to sell my Merc Barge in exchange for a sensible family/dog run around that would be happy to ‘poodle’ along and capable of ferrying children and dogs, complete with five doors, and a hatchback big enough for two Labradors.
I calculated the man maths and took it upon myself to purchase a Renault Clio Sport 172 (Not forgetting that I am now in my late forties – mid-life crisis alert!) after I momentarily lost my senses….
It doesn’t tick any of the above boxes and much to the annoyance of my wife, it has cost a small fortune (More than I paid for the car) to get it back to near original condition!
Just as I have won back my wife, and ticked her boxes by purchasing a sensible ford focus, I stand to fall out with my 9 year old son, who has fallen in love with the pocket rocket, and has banned me from selling it any time soon!
Please help - Do I….?
a.) Sell the car and not recover any funds spent on it so far (Including the original cost of the car);
b.) Keep it on the road (this being our 4th car);
c.) Store vehicle as a future classic;
d.) Man maths again…Cage and race it..!!

Cage it and race it or keep it on the road. If your kid likes it, then that is what truly matters (that is why I am 36 and driving around with a tow hook on my 182, my 13yo son thinks its cool)
