Peugeot spare parts / breakers
Discussion
Hello
I have a 1997 406 V6 that has been off the road for 6 years - I'm thinking of having some work done so that I can get it back on the road, however, I don't want to justify it going anywhere a main dealer.
As well as Ebay, are there any reputable second hand parts dealers out there that are well worth checking out?
Any links / advice much appreciated.
Thanks

It all depends on what parts your after? Its not that old so most major parts factors would be able to supply parts from stock.
GSF or Euro car parts can supply most Peugeot O/E parts at very competitive prices. If you need some special trim or bodywork stuff you may be forced to a Peugeot Dealer.
Other options to consider, www.peugeotparts.co.uk (Dean Hunter is 100% Peugeot, new and second hand.)
Hurst Motor Co (01189344123) they are a typical car breakers but specialises with Peugeots.

Thanks for the reply. It will hopefully be going to a local mechanic in the next few days for a full check over, so I'll have a better idea of whats needed after that. Cambelt was last changed 8 years ago so that will definitely need doing, and 4 new tyres will be a must.
I have seen Eurocarparts and GSF had some very good prices for service parts, it was more just thinking what could be obtained second hand for a reasonable price to get it back on the road.
Well, as an update (in case anyone is interested!), it failed the MOT - no surprises there, but only needs tyres, an exhaust, rear discs and pads, an upper rear tie bar on the suspension, and some new number plate bulbs.
Currently being worked on, and hopeful of an MOT pass later in the week.
It will also get a service, and I still have the dilemma of the cam belt - last changed 9 years ago but with only 30,000 miles on it. I think for peace of mind it will get changed, just conscious its quite a big / expensive job……
Can anyone recommend any good Peugeot Independents in the Surrey / Hampshire / West Sussex areas?
