Struggling to decide on which one I want above. Quite like the Clio but the auto puts me off slightly.
Audi S1 is a bit girly but a remap puts if over 300bhp plus its 4WD!
Then there's the 275 Trophy, I think this will be the winner but just wanted other views? I'm gonna test them all but have to wait till after my holiday.

275. The Audi si nice but quite clinical and nonedescript. It'll look mostly like a lot of normal A1s. The 275 is a proper PH car and looks it. Depends what you want. Although there is a big size difference between the S1 and 275.

The clio is a nice car but if the question is clio 220 trophy or Megane 275 trophy the choice is the Megane (although I own the latter so maybe a little biased)

Can't really comment on the Audi as I don't have much experience with them bar my parents one.

Best thing to do is drive them and see which one fits your life better.

I've had my 250 for nearly 5 years - it's a fantastic car and for the class/size, there is nothing more nimble on a good piece of tarmac.

I will say, having a 4wd system on a mountain road is great - but if you go for the S1, you sacrifice a lot in terms of interior space, though I'm sure it's a lot of fun.

I'm not sure how good the system is on the S1, but comparing my 250 and dad's STI on the same road is quite interesting. He can really get on the power sooner than I can in the Megane - but that's on a proper symmetrical AWD system, I'm not sure if the Haldex system in the S1 would be as convincing.

Just read CAR mag and a longer term test on the S1. They said it was very good but quite pricey in terms of fun per pound. Holds it price well too which has its pros and cons...
