Clio 182 Trophy Owners - Welsh Weekender (Sep 12th/13th)
Discussion
Calling all Trophy owners!
As this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Trophy I'm organising a celebration on some of the best driving roads the UK has to offer. Having just done a similar 800 mile trip at the weekend I'm already excited at the prospect of the next.
September 12th/13th 2015
Day 1 Highlights
Start in Llangollen, North Wales
Horseshoes Pass
Nant y Garth Pass
Evo Triangle
Lake Vyrnwy
Hellfire Pass (Bwlch y Groes)
Overnight in Aberystwyth
Day 2 Highlights
Devil's Bridge Falls
Elan Valley
Rhayader
Brecon Beacons
These roads are as inspiring as the scenery is stunning so there will be plenty of opportunities for photo-stops along the way, fuel stops (for cars and drivers) and a great, relaxed, fun weekend for all. This is very much a social event.
Personally I'll be staying in a B&B in Llangollen on the Friday night somewhere cheap and cheerful so I can have a proper Welsh breakfast before an early start, and then somewhere equally budget in/near Aberystwyth on Saturday night. I'm not going to book accommodation for anyone else, but let me know if you're interested in joining, either the whole trip or just one day so I can keep you up-to-date with plans and detailed routes etc.
