Hi all, thanks for having a read of this, I'm after a bit of help please....

I have just bought my son a 2005 206 1.4 8v with a standard stereo in it, what i would like to do is upgrade the stereo to bluetooth and wanted to know what the options were..... can I buy some sort of adapter for the standard head unit or is it easier to replace the head unit with an aftermarket stereo, also if i did replace the head unit is there any way of keeping the steering wheel controls and date, time, temperature display on the dashboard.

Thanks in advance for your help

Ross

Hi, its funny you should ask that, I'm looking at doing the same to my 406. There are bluetooth adaptors available an long as your existing stereo has the input for a multi changer but even then you may need to get it re programmed to recognise this input. With this system you will keep the column controls and in car display functions. If you go for an aftermarket unit, a little over £100 will get you into a Pioneer 5700 or a Kenwood BT53 or similar. Out of the box, you will lose the column controls but you can buy adaptors for both. The display in the car will still read the time / temperature etc but no RDS details. You will also need a fascia adaptor (about £12 from Halfrauds).

hope this helps smile
