Mkll Saxo VTR - Lockset, ECU & Immobiliser Change
Discussion
Hello all,
My Saxo has been off the road since new year, and I've just finished doing some work on it, clutch change, replacing some suspension parts etc.
It's all back together now, but the immobiliser light is now flashing, and the car won't start, the fuel pump does not prime and the spark plugs don't click.
A bit of googling, checking the loom, fuses and relays etc, leads me to believe it's either the keys transponder is weak or the ECU is locked/faulty. It's apparently a common problem for cars left standing.
Anyway, I've sourced a used matching ECU, Immobiliser and lock-set with key, and was planning on swapping the lot over.
My question is, does anyone know if swapping all the parts together is likely to work straight off, or will they need to be installed in a certain order.
