Which larger brakes for 205 GTI?
Discussion
I changed mine for the bigger 206GTI180 ones and they weigh a ton, mucking up the unspring weight; kept the same MC although travel is longer.
GTI-6 calipers were popular with the MC upgrade.
Stick with the standard ones and upgrade the pads, pagid or Ferodo they are more than up to the job.

I went with gti6 calipers on my gti6 engined one and they are brilliant and I didn't change the master cylinder as it is nice to have a bit of brake movement for heel and toe. You need to move the wheel weights though as the calipers run VERY close to the wheel.
If the engine is a 1.9 then just refresh and rebuild to std but use steel brake lines. Look up miles at pug racing...he can supply better pads too.
The brake lines behind the fuel tank rot and it is not too hard if you drop out the fuel tank so would recommend changing those including the compensator valves. Change the fluid if more than a couple of years old too.
