Clio 172 Cup Tyre Recommendations

I have Michelin PS3s on my 182 Trophy and they are brilliant in the wet and dry. The only other tyre I'd consider is the Yokohama AD08 but they're more expensive still and very much a summer-only tyre.
This. 100%.I had PS3s on my 182 and they were fantastic. Really predictable and a smooth breakaway when you do get to the limit.
I'd also recommend the AD08s- especially if you do occasional track days. They have bucket loads of grip in the dry, and better than many normal road tyres in the wet.

I really like the look of the Michelin Pilot Sport 3's but they are the most expensive (c£100 ea.) and possibly not worth it?
Michelins are (a) expensive and (b) very good. You get what you pay for.The car came with odd ones which were auto grip or something - they were sh*t
I then had a set of Khumos (KH31 I think) from a friend as they were going to waste... The're okay but no superb
Currently looking to change them for Mitchellin PS3's as I was very impressed with these when I had them on my old Clio. For me, it's not worth skimping especially given how tyre sensitive Clios seem to be!

Federal RSRs on my 182 albeit with 15" phase 1 wheels...sticky as you like and have been dealing with the storm down pours with no issue either
I run R888's on 15" Ph1 OZ F1's but only for hillclimbing, couldn't tolerate the road noise (or expense!) for general road use. You do have to remember when you switch back to road tyres though..!I actually went with the Uniroyal RS3's in the end as I had them for £60 a pop.
They do lack slight feel but are outstanding in the wet, the water displacement is amazing (I know it's not the most important thing, but the tread pattern is one of the most attractive I've seen too!)
I think I might end up swapping fronts to rears and getting the PS3's when the rear Avons go, so I'll have PS3's in the front and the rainsports in the back.
Thanks for all the advice!
