New Pug 308 issue

Hoping someone here has a new Pug 308. I've just taken delivery of ours (308 1.6 Hdi Active) and failing to make much impact by following the manual.
One of my problems is with the SAT NAV. When we first looked at the car we explained that sat nav would be important and we were shown it working in the demo car with live traffic alerts or Traffic messages.

We've been for our first big drive today in which we encountered a 40 minute jam - yet the sat nav had nothing to say - and the traffic messages screen was always empty, no matter what settings we tried.

Does anyone know how it's supposed to work ? The main dealer suggested we give it a couple of weeks to see if it starts kicking in.

I had a 2009 407 Sport until recently. When I got it (from a Peugeot dealer) I had great difficulty in finding anyone who could work the audio/sat nav other than the basic functions.
IIRC on the menu there is a setting that is something like "configure announcements". In any case the only way to get the best from these systems is to sit in the car with the book and go through it all, probably over several sessions to take it all in. Your dealer saying that it might start working on its own is B*ll sh*t, he's just trying to get rid of you as he doesn't know how to operate the equipment on the cars he sells. Unfortunately many car salesmen seem to have little product knowledge

I just find this astonishing!! you have paid a huge amount of money for something and the Dealer who sold it cant tell you how it works.
I would kick up sh**,its bang the table time,letter to Peugeot etc etc.

yep, just about to kick up a stink with them.
Have spent two days stuck in traffic and not one notification from the sat nav.

Can you reject lease cars ?
