Hi,

Picked up my shed £500 c5 and the clutch will need replacing at some point although it's not slipping.
Looking on eurocarparts the price varies from £85 for transmech kit,£115 for a luk kit and £211 for a valeo kit, are they all the same or are any of those makes worth avoiding?

With a cam belt change i assume you change the tensioners and water pump at the same time?

Hi, I tend to use the Goldilocks theory, not too cheap and not too expensive, so LUK it is smile
I have used LUK before and they're very good.
Also Yes to the second Q, whilst you have the belt off, you might as well change the water pump and tensioners.

Luk clutch kits are fine, you can buy timing belt kits complete with water pumps now, better value for money.

cheers.

my impulse ( i wasn't looking for a car and i have no need for another) buy £500 c5 is starting to get costly.

clutch , hopefully not dual mass flywheel as it's done 200k

cambelt

windscreen washer pump and the oil temp dial is stuck on red even when cars turned off.

do i fix it up or flog it on as i really don't need it even though i quite like the ride.
