I had another thread in mechanics section but hope I might get more advice here.
I, ve just bought one a 2.0l petrol auto. It seems to be holding back at certain revs.
I put a new coil pack on it today and it seems a bit better. Not perfect.Took plugs out. They looked good but really smelt of petrol. Cleaned them , put them back. Thinking of changing fuel filter too. Any ideas please

But no warning lights are on. So would it still find fault codes

Yes it could show faults without putting mil on. Does it start ok when hot?

It always starts ok. Runs fine apart from the slight hesitation. Seems a bit worse when it's warm

Before you do anything else give it a good quality engine flush(forte or wurth) and some fresh fully synthetic oil.It may just be a sticking hydraulic follower.

Had it scanned today and has come up with camshaft position sensor so fingers crossed
