Hi all. First foray into the french section.

My sisters 206 1.9d has overheated and seized. To cut it short she needs a 'new' engine.

I was wondering if a DW8 engine from a Berlingo, Partner van or the 306 is a straight swap or not? Or do I need to source another 206 engine.

As long as its the same engine code, the block and head assembly is the same. Its all the "bits" that bolt to it that are different.I think it best that you find an engine assenbly from a 206 the same year etc.Shouldn't be too difficult, you then would have a quantity of spare "bits" left over that may be of use in the future?

Thanks. Seems easier to source a 206 part!
