Hi all, you have guessed it, the boss has put petrol in.

Nightmare, but anyone know if the tank has a drain plug in it ?

No drain bung suck it out from the fuel line input on the high pressure pump under the bonnet with a spare elecy fuel pump,
You can remove the tank sender from under the back seats but is not great to refit and the tanks can go out of shape with the weight of the fuel I wouldn't advise it, can of worms

Usually can find a joint in the fuel line under the car. I drained a full tank out of a Scenic like this, need to jack the car up quite high but really easy and not at all messy.

Hi Guys, thanks for the replys, much appreciated !
Going to recover it in the next few days and I will try to undo a fuel line somewhere and see if I can drain it that way.

It was on reserve and she put circa £12 of petrol in it. Unforuneately I drove it ( once it eventually started ) about 6 miles, the remaining diesel would have diluted the petrol very slightly, but I'm hoping no damage has been done.

I once put £20 petrol in our diesel Scenic (1.5dci), realised what I'd done and topped it off with diesel. Still running sweet today. The 1.9 Scenic I drained was driven about 8 miles on a full tank of petrol from reserve. They seem to be quite robust. Fingers crossed.

fill her to the brim with diesel and add a bit of 2 stroke oil is what I would do.
