Hi All, 04 citroen C3 1.1 Petrol Desire with 213500 miles.... and still going strong! (Well, barring this...)

I have just revived the old girl as earlier this year she developed a Steering Fault, this being when u took your foot off the accelerator at anything above 30mph it quite violently pulls to the right, and with foot back on accelerator if pulls back to the left. At Motorway speeds its quite frightening changing gear, lifting off accelerator, in general its not nice!

Ive since fitted a new rack and motor, just had a fresh MoT but driving home nothings changed...

Nothing was picked up on the Mot and all the suspension bushes seem ok, the front suspension has always had an occasional knock over speed bumps. Apart from this the steering seems "ok"

Going to take her down to a garage tomorrow to have the tracking set-up in the hope this is whats causing the problem but if anyone has had any experience with this please let me know.

Thanks,

Richard

Sounds like suspension arm bush? on a flat surface with the hand brake off try moving the car back and forward with a front wheel. If you just check them jacked up with wheels off the ground it can be difficult to identify a worn bush.
