There's a Renault breaker in Doncaster called Renparts who might be able to help but the shipping for an exhaust system might be a big number, give them a call or use the form http://renparts.co.uk/renault-part-request/.
Have you looked at the cost of new? Renault have a major parts center in Wolverhampton and depending on where in W/shire you are they might be able to deliver it on their van.

When you say it's welded I assume you mean the cat is welded to the centre section which is welded to the backbox rather than it all being clamped together, but it's not actually welded to the floor of the car, it's still on rubber mounts right?
You may well need to replace the cat, centre and back but hopefully it's only welded from the cat back and the top or front of the cat isn't welded to the downpipe or manifold?

Obviously it's possible to cut out the cat and weld a new one in but it's best to do it right (or it might split again).

If you bought it from a dealer you might be able to get them to fix it, depending how long you've had it and they might try to call it wear and tear but a cat splitting is not wear and tear.

oh and welcome to pistonheads wavey

hi scarble thanks for the welcome, i have had a look at the cost new and its out of my budget at the moment as i have my driving test on wednesday then there the tax, mot, and the dreaded insurance for a new driver, so im trying to do it all as cheap as possible. what i mean when i say its welded is that the sections are welded they are still hanging on the rubbers so its not welded to car floor. and also im not sure if the cats welded to the downpipe as you have to drop the subframe to be able to see it lol and i didnt have enough time on the day to do that lol. and no i didnt buy it from a dealer i got it from a family memeber who purchased it at a very good price. but now its starting to look like the good price is gonna be to good to be true if its gonna be an expensive fix

Well you'll need to undo the top end of the cat anyway and you might be able to lift everything off as one piece then (but that might be tricky to do on your own hehe). Once it's off it's easier to cut the old cat out and possibly weld a new one in, but like I say that's not the best way to do it.
You're probably better off buying a new cat or you might regret it come MOT time but can probably get away with second hand centre (if it has one?) and back box. Not sure where the lambda sensor is on these and whether you'll need a new one or can re-use the old one.
Considering the labour costs of getting a new cat cut and welded into the existing system it might even work out cheaper to do it the right way.

Well technically you can de-cat anything but technically it's illegal (sort of?) and it won't go through an MOT like that. Like I say welding the new one in is not a great idea and probably the reason the cat split to start with, but it might last if you're lucky.
