anyone have any real world experience of this...... i am not interested in straight line drag races, i'm sure the chassis and LSD can handle it....... what i want to know is any gain lost by you needing to feather the throttle in the twisties else the esp kicks in, and is it worth it in terms of whats gained....

I know lots of people who've had them mapped. The chassis deals with the extra power with no trouble at all.

Mine is standard, but if I was still using it on trackdays I'd defiantly be looking at a map.

That said, I've heard mixed things about the Superchips map. Some have reported misfires and flat spots over the range. If you want the best then I'd go for a custom remap instead. RSTuning have a good reputation for their custom maps.

My daily drive R26 has had a RS Tuning Stage 2 remap for over 3 years -dyno'd at 266bhp and no reliability issues whatsoever (thats done it!!).

I dont hang around either!
