I need to get my 59 Clio serviced and Mot'd, I did it at an independent garage Sept last year for £230 gold service. This time I've booked at a Renault dealership new week, I was told that my car needs a major service every 2 years, they suggested a saphhire service and MOT @ £229.
Could anyone who has their renault serviced at a main dealership explain the difference in servicing? So the Sapphire and the others?
Am I better going off with the independent silver service at £140?

Silver? Sapphire? Gold?
Never heard them called that, you just want to make sure it's serviced by the book with OEM parts. A good independent specialist particularly for Renaults is generally a better bet.
The service book should tell you what each service is supposed to include and when.
