Megane 250/265 wheels
Discussion
Not much choice for aftermarket 250/265 rims due to the unique PCD and offset (ET).
Assuming you already run 18 inch rims, then maybe the best option is an extra standard 18 inch rims from Renault for just winter use. Some guys also run a 225/40/18 winter tyre instead of the 235.
The only other rim some use is a team Dynamics Pro Race 1.3 but with an ET55 they stick out about + 10 mm and reduce tyre to outer arch clearance.

I spent ages looking for spare rims for track use and finally gave up. I believe that the rims are 8 1/4 wide, 5 hole 114.3 pcd and the offset is ET65 and whilst OZ might be able to come up with rims with that offset, they were very expensive. In the end I bought some standard Renault rims for just under £200 each. Rims in breakers are like rocking horse st, so good luck with the search.
I had some 1.3's as track wheels. They stick out 12 or 13mm more than standard from what I recall.
I tracked them many times and had no issues at all, no noticeable handling difference compared to the standard wheels and they were quite cheap compared to the original OEM wheels and certainly cheaper than the alternatives.
I must say I wasn't overly fond of the looks and preferred the 18" Cup wheels, but they got the job done.

Well I sold them on Meganesport after I bought my Caterham, but they were running PS2s while my normal road wheels had (and still have) Goodyear Eagle F1 Assy 2 on them.
I really liked the PS2s on track. Plenty of grip, good wear levels and didn't seem to be unsettled by the RC5+ pads I had fitted.
The Pro Race 1.3 are an 8.5" rim though as opposed to the 8.25 supplied by Renault. They should probably have a 235/40 tyre on them instead of a 225. In fact, you could probably quite easily fit a 245 should you want to (just watch for that arch clearance!).

Just checking the website for those alloysI really liked the PS2s on track. Plenty of grip, good wear levels and didn't seem to be unsettled by the RC5+ pads I had fitted.

I assume you went for the maximum offset possible (ET52)? Will these fit straight on over the brakes without spacers?

Checked with my local tyre/wheel place (Turriff Tyres)
Regarding wheels, they recommended Imola or Monza (Team Dynamics) wheels over the Pro Race 1.3s as these would be a bit cheaper, any thoughts?
Given rimstock don't list the weighs for either you could presume they're made from pig iron and really are just show wheels.Regarding wheels, they recommended Imola or Monza (Team Dynamics) wheels over the Pro Race 1.3s as these would be a bit cheaper, any thoughts?
Unless you prefer the look of the others the reason they're cheaper is because the 1.3s will be made better/stronger.

Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.3 wheel, 18x8.5 5x114.3 ET55
No issues with rubbing on the standard Cup suspension and original size tyres.
I'd say the 1.3 are about the same weight as the original wheel, weighing in at 11KG.
Cheers Andy
You can always just buy an extra standard Renault set.Sure, I'll get back to them to check the offset on the wheels they recommended.
Dare I ask what the retail is on getting a set of Renault rims...?

I was wondering that....
Not too bothered about weight as these are going to be winter wheels only.
Compatible ET is the issue. If you go beyond about 10mm difference you can have problems. Not too bothered about weight as these are going to be winter wheels only.

I remember when I looked a few years ago it would have worked out around 250 a wheel. I can't imagine you'd get any change from 1000.
I'd put up a thread at MeganeSport or RSMegane and see if anyone is selling a set of suitable wheels. I sold mine on there, and they were subsequently sold on when the next owner swapped his 250 in for an R26.R.

Renault always want decent money for a Megane RS wheel.Dare I ask what the retail is on getting a set of Renault rims...?
If you are just after a winter tyre solution, then why not just swop tyres and store the summer tyres?
Much cheaper solution.
Sorry to drag up an old thread but can anyone advise me. I don't get alloys and obviously don't want to make the wrong decision.
I want to get a set of 18" track wheels for my megane.
I understand they need 5x114 however done understand the offset. Ive been told the standard offset is et67 however would a et45 fit without issues if it was an 18x8 and using a 225/40 tyre?
If anyone could help I would appreciate it
Thanks Jamie

Rather than try and waffle an explanation try jamming the specs into this:
http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp
so you can visualise the differences. In reality you're best to make some notes and go to the car with a ruler/measure and make your own mind up.
They likely will though, they'd only poke out by 17mm more and pretty sure there's clearance for that and a bit more.
