206 wing mirror

Hi all,
Does anybody know whether the colour coded part of a 206 wing mirror can be removed and put on a new assembley? Or is it a case of buying one the same colour as the car to start with?

The colour coded part just pops off with a screwdriver.

Be careful though, some had plain black plastic mirrors without the detachable part.

Yes it does come off but it is very easy to break the small pieces of plastic that keep it in place.
Also I`ve found that its not compatible with a lot of the after market mirrors as the holes don't line up etc?

Thanks guys that's awesome, I shall sort a cheap one on eBay and the swap the colours over. Job should be a good one! Bloody mrs lol
