Tell me about Peugeot 207 1.4 16V S

Right, first off this is why I'm looking into this.

Needless to say I'm gutted and I think there is a fair chance it will be a right off.
Anyway with an eye to the future, there is a very tidy 2007 207 1.4 16v with 30k, fsh for sale up the road from me. Pretty much are they any good? What should I look out for? Are they fun to drive? If anyone had a 106, how do they compare? Any info at all really.
I'm not expecting a 1.4 to be amazing, but as a everyday going to work / shop / train station etc car how are they?. The 106 wasn't fast but you could still have fun in it.

If you loved the 106 so much and it's in such a good condition, why not buy it back off the insurance company when they write it off? They'll sell it for peanuts and the money you get from the claim, can be spent to get the dent fixed.
The 207 is a much bigger, heavier car than the 207, so it will feel a lot different than a 106. It will be much more modern and comfortable though, so depends what your priority is really. Go test drive the one you've seen, before making your mind up.
Reliability can be an issue too. The 106 is very simple but the 207 contains a lot more electrics that can go wrong. They're not bad cars for reliability but some do have issues. Biggest one to look out for is the 'anti-pollution' fault. It doesn't help that main dealers seem to be clueless when finding the fault that's causing it, so if it does come up finding a reputable peugeot specialist would be my advice.
