Basically my one needs a nsr caliper, looking on ebay for a pair some people seem to be selling 306 calipers but say they will fit a 205, is there an advantage to them and are they just a straight swap or do they need modified in any way to go on?

thanks

306 rear disc brakes are the same as 205GTi`s. (Bendix) The calipers and pads will fit both.

Thank you very much, are there certain better ones I should use? i.e. are GTi-6/Xsi calipers better than others?

They are all identical Bendix brakes. There are of course lots of "Fast Road" or "Competition" discs and pads on the market but I would only consider those for the front. With the rear on GTi`s stick to standard Bendix O/E brakes.

Discs are fine on the back, so just going to grab some calipers. Fronts are already uprated discs and pads which will lock up so don't really think I need more stopping power.

Thanks for all the help folks.

306 Rear calipers fit and R5 turbo ones are the same. I've used 206 instead.

Worth replacing the discs while it's apart for the sake of a few pounds. www.brakeparts.co.uk are stupidly cheap for discs although their fitting kits are cack.
