What tyre pressure?
Discussion
If you cant find it, or you have after-marked tyres with other sises, you can calculate it with spreadsheet I made, in wich I use the same formula as the European tyre- and car makers used up to 2000.
After that they still used it , but put the advice higher for fuel saving they let us think.
Real reason is that the type of tyres you have with low aspect ratio ( further AR = the 40 in your tyre-sises)are calculated to high in their maximum load by the tyre-makers.
They use a formula for that in wich the sidewall hight is used with a deflection of about 20 % of that, wich is for that low AR tires to much and more reasons.
To make a long story short substract 20% to the maximum load of the tyre when filling in in the spreadsheet. Or better give me the needed data ,then I will calculate a save pressure, wich will be probably higher then the advices on the plancard. If you use lower pressure you have a better gripp and comfort,so ideal you should think, but at a sertain moment you have a blow out by damaged tires-sidewall , and accident, with injuries mayby, or even worse , damage to your car.
But if you want to try it yourselfes, here the map with the needed spreadsheets.
To use one , first download by right-clicking and choosing download from the dropdown-box.
After download and eventual virus-check, open in Excell or Open Office Calc to use it fully.
Dont use "open in Excell" or "open in Excel Webb App", first is to complicated, asks for your E-mail and password, second cant handle some things I used in the spreadsheets.
