Think I have a problem with the DMF on the 2007 Renault Laguna 2, 2.0 DCI diesel. Any ideas on how much this should be to replace, my local garage is around saying £1000, part is 450 and then fitting, would this be about right or is the price of fitting on the high side?

It's a long job,at least 8 if not 10 hours,so doesn't sound too far off the mark.

As said, lots of labour. So make sure they fit a top quality O/E DMF and never be tempted with "solid kits" or cheap "Chinese" DMF`s.

Is there a recomended place to get a replacement DMF from? Its causing a slight vibration in the car after driving for a while, timewise I don't have time to be without the car until middle/end of January so going to have to wait till then to get done. Garage has said current one could last another 6 weeks or 6 years it's hard to tell, but I want rid of that vibration it drives me mad on a long drive.

I always use GSF car parts for this type of part, loads of branches in England. As far as I know only one in Scotland, Glasgow. You can order online and they will deliver.
