Hi all,

Can someone please tell me the difference between a standard 206 and a 206 quicksilver? Is it purely just a slight performance increase?

Kind regards,

Luke.

No performance increase, they are silver and have quicksilver branding on them, its much like a 206 splash or any other special edition.

I had a 206cc Quicksilver when I was at uni. As said, you just get Quicksilver cloth and branding on the sides. Quite pretty, if it's the 1.4 petrol around the '53 plate they went from an 8v to a 16v, 75 to 90 bhp. You pay about another £20 in tax for the 16v but it's well worth it. Some of the earlier cars didn't even have alloys as standard.

We've currently got a HDi 110 in stock, it feels rapid.

I was looking at that one, is it 1.6 TDI? It has loads of torque!

Yeah, the diesel. I nearly bought it for myself. The official figures are something like 9.8 - 62 but it feels a lot faster, puts you back in your seat a little.

Nice spec on them too, auto lights and wipers and climate control.

It's still pretty much the same engine that's in the 208 now, albeit with 5 bhp less. Only £95 to tax too.
