Just bought a 106 1.1 any issues i should look for?
Discussion
I bought 106 1.1 63k mileage for £250, for to re-build my NCB from not owning a car for while.
Any issues i should look for?
I know there is rear trailing arms issue, but any others ? apart from being french.

the biggest and most expensive problem is the rear axle trailing arm bearings, refurbed axles cost around £350
rust under the boot floor and inner wings (although it seems to be hit and miss, some cars are spotless, while others are rotting away).
idle control valves sometimes play up.
gearboxes can be a bit weak, although this seems to be a bit more of a gti problem.
leaky sunroof
headgaskets.
But generally there simple to work on and tough as old boots. I've owned a 106 for getting on six years now, the only non service parts its needed was a horn (about £15) and a washer pump (about £17) both bought from a peugeot dealer. Its never failed to start first time, even with a foot of snow on top of it, down near -10c.
