As above, I have a 2012 model which ive been informed can be re-mapped to 140BHP, with a large gain in torque and much better fuel consumption.

Ive had all my bikes mapped in and several cars but im not convinced totally that the 30BHP gain ive been promised can be met without twiddling around with boost, the tuner claims they can do this just by altering the ECU so that it "burns" fuel better.

I know thats a sound enough theory but a 30BHP gain and a 15% gain in torque doesnt sit easily with me.

Any advice/thoughts welcome.

I recently bought a Laguna Coupe with the 150bhp dCI lump. It went well enough as standard, but I took it along to our local Superchips dealer to see what they could do. It's certainly a big difference.

If I were you I wouldn't worry about the numbers too much. Pay your money and get it done, and if you like the resulting drive then happy days smile if you're not happy any reputable tuner will put it back to standard and give you your money back.

Very interesting, do you tweak boost to achieve that claimed 135BHP? (im guessing here you represent this company?)

..and is that June offer price offered on the mobile service? Im Northants based, can get the car 100 miles either way but not as far as Bradford..

Thanks for that info as well mate...what did superchips charge you?

Smart looking car the coupe, i cant believe Renualt have stopped bringing the cars into the UK, the Laguna is a much more classier option than the average mondeo, insignia etc

I'm sorry if I've misled you but I don't have any association to the company, nor could I recommend them as I have no experience with them.

Someone asked your question a few days ago and I found the link I posted. When I had a quick 5 minutes spare at work I posted the link for yourself, so you could see what upgrade in power you could expect to achieve from a Re-map.

However the companies website I did post, does seem to offer very good value for money. However saying that, an internet search does suggest that they get mixed reviews. Also the upgrades they offer for the cheapest prices are just standard upgrades they will just upload to the ECU on the spot. The car won't be tested on a Dyno for the engineer to fine tune in specifically.
