I'd be very interested to hear your experience, particularly regarding performance (the 1.6 diesel sounds underpowered for such a car, but maybe it's fine), reliability, general refinement.
I really like the look of these, especially in estate form. IMHO Peugeot got their styling mojo back with the 508 and 5008.

That's grey?! Looks black! Looks smart though, I like them. Has that got the weird wipers that sweep from the middle up to the edges, like the Civic I guess. Do let us know how they fair, I think those in our 308 are rubbish!
Your now the 4th person to say that, they did do 2 grey's not sure they do now as the lighter coloured one has been dropped from the range.I can't remember what the wipers do now.
I'm collecting it tomorrow.
Can just about see grey atop the mirrors and on a few patches of the bumper where the light hits it.
When I see grey, I just assume something along the lines of my 207, which people keep calling silver...

I think you'll find the standard sound system to be pretty good, does yours have the fully integrated iPod job where you can change tracks on the head unit or stalk, or the Twin-RCA to 3.5mm jack like our two have?
Ps. Just seen your other thread.
My BMW/PSA Petrol engined 207 will quite happily return over 50mpg on A-roads and Motorways, and with no effort at all I can manage 47 over several hundred miles with absolutely no effort, and the AC on.
I recently went on a bit of a lads tour with some mates, 900mi 4 up with a packed boot and AC, again, no effort what-so-ever, 41mpg. So, if you're looking for economy, I think you've come to the right place.
I noticed that you say the Civic looks has suffered badly from stone chipping.
I had mine a few months (just turned 2/17,500mi when I got it) and had to have the front end re-laquered (including the splitter it seems!!) as it suddenly started peeling, which sparked a big argument at our (utterly useless) dealer.
Since then though I've put 11k on the clock and whilst it's picked out a couple of stone chips, the paintwork is still looking really, really good. I think the stonechips came from loose gravel on an old airfield being kicked up in a sort of mini drag race...
