Your car is stunning bud, wish mine was in that condition lol. Mine is currently lowered approx 60mm and sitting on a set of 205 1.9 GTi rims, they actually look pretty well on it. Hoping to track it in the summer.
Had a silver Volcane myself for a while, went pretty well for what it was and I embarrased a few boys in it. Actually going to look at another black one tonight. No idea what it's going to be like but it's bound to be worth a punt at £400.
Also had a black 5 door TD, only ran it for a couple of months while I was getting the engine rebuilt in my Escort. Didn't look like much but a few tweeks to the pump and turbo and it was a proper sleeper. Also had a grey 5 door with the 1.4 TU engine. Great revving thing, took a lot of abuse until a fence jumped out in front of me one night lol.

Hope you dont mind me Hi-jacking this thread whilst on the subjects of ZX's I have a 5 door TD, when I put my foot on the brake pedal there is a big vibration that comes up through the pedal any ideas brakes all work fine and have been checked and its not a drive shaft any ideas?

I used to rally one. It was originally the Greenergy diesel car built for Nigel Griffiths. He eventually fitted an almost standard 16v unit and had some pretty good results in it. He reckoned it was the best handling FWD car he had ever driven (on Proflex suspension). I ran it like this for one season with reasonable success (took a class win in the UK Rally challenge) then I fitted a 306 kit car engine (ex the 206 Ryton Employee Rally Team car) and 6 speed dog box. With this on board it was pretty quick (top 10 stage times on tarmac events and I set some fastest times overall), but not reliable. The exhaust manifold on the kit car engine ran right through the middle of where the gear linkage went. This wasn't a problem for the works cars with their sequential boxes, but my 6-speed H-Pattern dog box was difficult and I continually had problems with gear selection (even with a dedicated rose-jointed linkage). It also used to break front hubs and engine mounts and I crashed it a few times (spun at Otterburn and took a rear wheel off over the edge of the road, rolled at speed on the Galloway Hills and smashed into the back of a stationary car on the Milltown Stages). It was one of those "if only" cars, so close but something always seemed to go wrong. I reckon a properly sorted cable change would have made a huge difference, but I started a family and decided to get something cheaper to run. I belive the car was broken for spares a few years ago.
