Evening all.

Planning the next car... Owned a Laguna II a while back which when working was a nice drive but suffered many of the common problems...

Wondered - did they iron them out with the facelift ? The value of those seems exceptionally good, especially the diesels...

Get the latest car possible. Personally, I would avoid the 1.9 Dci 130 as it has a DPF and needs servicing with expensive oil every 9k/12m. However, the 2.0DCi 150 is a superb engine, and chain drive.

If the cars you see have fully operational electrics at 5> years old, you should be OK. Make sure both keys operate fully.

I have a lag2a I don't think I'd buy one out of warranty biggrin

my rear lights stopped working so i thought i'd get a wiring loom out a scrappy only to find 5 lags in the scrappy, all with butchered wiring looms. biggrin

it's not all bad though. 2003, 80k miles, only things to go wrong in the 2 years i've had it, both front springs broke, tre's lower ball joints, the rear bushes and the clutch/dmf seem to be on their way out...

Thanks all.

The one I had was a 2001/51. I'm looking at those around 05/55 plate. Is there a 120 dci as well as the 130 ? both with nasty dpf/fap ?

check the clutch isn't slipping and rattle from the dmf on startup, make sure all the doors lock with the central locking and that all the rear lights work, check the springs all round havn't snapped and if there is clunking from the rear as this will be the rear bushes.

106oc, although I haven't been that active on there for awhile, 4 years and you kind of get fed up seeing the same questions over and over again. I am on the renault forums too, but I post on there very rarely.
