My girlfriend wants to buy a megane 1.6 convertable but it needs a cambelt, does anyone have an idea what it should cost ?

Going by 1 company I know of http://www.519automotive.co.uk/ I'd say you're looking around the £400 mark

Depends on a number of elements. If you have the belt/tensioner/pulley changed and the waterpump inspected, using genuine parts at a Renault dealer, its going to be a lot more expensive than some grease monkey using a non-genuine belt and doing half the job.

I'd get a couple of quotes from a reputable mechanic, and ask them if they will do as above.

Autodata says 3.6hrs so £150 labour+£90 for the kit sounds reasonable.
