Am looking at changing the clutch and maybe the dual mass flywheel on an 06 2.0 ltr hdi diesel 407.

Has anybody got any idea of difficulty - time taken- any little problems that can cause alot of grief, but if you have a little bit of a knack then its easier.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Its a lot of work, the whole front sub frame has to be removed and then the gear box.As its so much time and labour to get to the clutch it makes sense to replace the DMF at the same time, also make sure they are all O/E top quality parts.Do not be tempted to fit a solid flywheel kit.

Thanks for the replies. Have taken the chickens way out and booked it into the garage for clutch and DMF to be changed.

It's a job like many the more you do the easier they get, we as a garage charge £650+vat to do them.

Not to bad once you get into it, easily done in the quoted time.
