Peugeot 207 GTI using alot of oil!

Hi all,

My 07 plate done 24500 miles uses between 1.5 to 2 litres of oil every 1000 miles! Spoken to my local Dealer and they say the only fix is to put a new engine in the car. However they say it will be the same its just how the engines are????

If it's the THP engine then it's a common sign that the engine has lunched either a piston ring or land, or piston crown. The badly designed PCV system not only allows oil haze to accumulate around the inlet valve, it also causes fuel octane reduction (from oil haze) causing detonation, which then causes the damage. I had it on my 10k miles THP engined DS3, new engine + PCV delete cured it http://ds3club.eu/showthread.php?t=362

Thank you for your post better get it back to my Peugeot dealer and get them to have another look at it. Hopefully get that new engine theyve been going on about.
