Renault Clio 1.8 16V

So I'm putting a 1.8 16v engine in my 1.4 RT shell, anyone know where I can get a heatshield for the bulkhead? Or is it just a case of scouring scrapyards to find one? The first of many problems I forsee haha. Anyone with experience of these cars feel free to post any info, thanks

The Heatshields tend to fall apart over time so finding a good second hand one wont be that easy. Go on http://www.williamsclio.co.uk plenty of guys on there to help you out particularly a certain Mr Brown. You could always make one out of heat resistant material available on the Bay.

The heatshield is now horrendously expensive from Renault ans as said good condition 2nd hand ones are pretty hard to come by, some people have started to make their own from stuff called nimbus material iirc

Cool, thanks I've had a little browse on there, seem to know their stuff! Ahh I see, shall look into that cheers. Need a gearbox first, the jb3 on mine lost the synchro on second
