I've become all garlic & onions this last couple of weeks!!!!!!!

I replaced my Smart daily driver with a Peugeot 306 Rallye 2 weeks ago. Today I picked up my new Megane R26.R.

Ooh La La!!!

Excellent pair of choices. All your mates will think you've gone mental unless they are car people and go on and on about "French cars breaking down all the time because my Dad had a Renault Laguna once and it was crap" Neither will if you look after them properly.

Haha! You are spot on there. You should have seen the wife's face when I said I was selling the 911 to buy a Renault. I took her out for the 1st time in the Rallye last night. She wasn't keen on that either. Still she wasn't fond of the Smartie so no worries there.

I need to get her in R26.R at Oulton Park!!!!

Two great cars you have there.

The last few cars i've had have been french, a 182 Trophy, Megane R26 and my current 172 Cup,

The Trophy and Megane were great cars and are both sorely missed. Never had any problems with any of them really, a couple of electrical niggles on the current 172 but these have been easy and cheap fixes.

I'd love a R one day, my R26 was great but it did feel heavy on track, from what i've read and heard the weight difference between the two cars is what really makes the R.

Good for you Paul. I sold my 996 turbo and replaced it with a Meg RS250 and am really loving it. Tremondous cars and huge fun.

Good choices!

I have a 306 Rallye and love it. Admittedly it's the first hot hatch I've ever owned but by all accounts they're considered in high regard. How are you getting on with yours?
