205 GTI / CTI Info req.

I'm thinking of getting hold of a 16v modded 205 but the crash protection thing is off-putting at best especially since these things like to rev and corner rather rapidly making it addictive to push them.

Would fitting a roll cage with an over-dash section make a difference to frontal impact protection?

Also I quite like the idea of some open top action by opting for a cab. Does anyone know the weight difference between the two and can a roll cage be fitted under a cab cover?
