pretty good condition, 130k on it. "most" things work on it.

would it be foolish to pay £250 £300 for it???

Prices for these have been rather inconsistent recently but they've started to creep up as not many are coming up for sale so I'd say it's worth a punt at that money.

Please don't buy it to strip for parts, sign up to www.clio16valver.co.uk for everything you need to know about these cars wink

Surely a really nice tidy one has to be worth £1k as a nice retro hatch?

If the one you have been offered is in working condition for £250 i'd say go for it. Could be a nice winter project.

Oh and we need pics.

137400k and used daily. Just the usual niggly things any 16year old car would have.

Mine is on 150k now but I've moved on to a silly power 2 litre engine build over winter so saying it's still going strong isn't quite accurate but it went rather well before I removed the engine to make way for the new 1 tongue out

Sort of, I came to watch & have a few passenger laps but ended up letting someone from the club borrow my car as he blew up his gearbox after 3 laps

25th July it was. Not sure about any other Clio casualties on that day tbh, the 1 that blew it's gearbox was the same colour as mine and he dumped a bit of box oil at Redgate at the start of the day.

Unfortunately I can only remember 3 things from that day that aren't Clio related paperbag
1. How stupidly fast the GT2RS is/was until it crashed eek
2. My friends white 106 rallye spat a rod through the block in the afternoon
and thirdly the bell ends driving the Grey 458 rage how they managed not to have or cause an accident with their tttish driving is beyond me shoot

Ahh thats what i remember, the 106. The GT2 was insane but i do feel sorry for the owner/guy who borrowed it.

The clios were good overtaking practice as they were often involved in racing each other so you sort of had to nip past as they weren't going to let you otherwise laugh
