clio 1.5 dci questions
Discussion
Hi there currently run a vectra 1.8 estate for work. She is getting a bit long in the tooth now and really tempted by the clio 1.5 dci 2001 shape. Now im a decorator by trade few quick questions do the rear seats fold completly flat giving a decent ammount of loading capacity.Do you guys think this would be a reliable work horse.
The whole 18,000 mile service intervals cheap tax and insurance have really sucked me in plus the great fuel echonomy. The only other alternative I was thinking off was a skoda fabia estate prob a 1.9tdi but although on paper it may be more reliable I know the running costs would be more.
By the way would be looking at anything between a 2002 and 2004 plate paying up to £2000 to £2500 I know there are a lot of 100,000 miles plus cars out there in this price range should I be put off by high mileage .Appreciate all your advice and comments.
Cheers chris

Hi Chris The rear seats don't fold perfectly flat, but they do get very close! Generally they are pretty reliable, just mainly niggly faults as with many french cars, but I've not had any issues with mine. Engines and gearboxes are solid, and obviously the economy and cheap tax is great. A lot more fun to drive than a Fabia too, whether this matters for you much as a workhorse... Cope with high mileages well too, mines getting on for 107k with no problems at all. It may or may not be for sale in the classifieds now... Might not be quite big enough if you're used to a Vectra. Good luck anyways
