Renault Alpine A610 new owner

I've purchased the yellow A610 that was on Pistonheads classified a while ago fantastic car in fantastic condition. I've been trying to log into the RAOC website for ages now and I'm about to give up has anyone else had problems? Are there any other forums that deal with these cars?

Hi, i used to own a GTA and found that forum the best by far... I just tried logging in and it was ok... Even my old id worked... Worth trying again..

For some reason I can't get on that site, I have sent a number of e-mails to the admin address but still no reply and every time I fill out the registration form it says the e-mail address is already being used which of course was me as I joined ages ago as I have always been interested in Alpines. This situation is rather irratating but could be down to me not remembering my old username and password!

I logged on with my old id and password fromw yonks ago and pinged the guy who runs it and pointed him at your failed attempts and your id on here So hopefully you will hear something as it would be a shame for technology to get in the way .... By the way love your esprit too... So miss my turbo SE... :-(

Thanks for doing that for me, I'm in the process of changing the wheels back to the standard silver colour any ideas what the RAL colour is or if Alpine actually used a standard colour.
Yes the V8 Esprit is an absolute brute compared to the A610 each has their own special characteristics which makes driving either one so different.

So your the one that bagged that beauty. So what do you think of it? They are fantastic looking cars and incredible value. Never quite undertstood why they are so cheap in the UK!

I really like the car and as a fan of the GTA when it first came out have always wanted one having tried the A610 after the GTA Turbo I just preferred the later version which benefits form the passage of time. Its a bit like the Esprit V8 I also own insofar as that car is the end of the evolution/improvement line and is all the better for it. The Renault does not have the brutal power of the Esprit but it feels like it would be a bit less stressful on a long journey.
