Heavy clutch on 2005 Clio 1.2
Discussion
I have changed the cable on a couple of these due to a heavy clutch... its helped in all cases to make it a bit lighter, but its usually the pressure plate finger pivots wearing and going dry that make it heavy...
A temporary fix is to get some spray grease and give the pressure plate and release bearing pivot a squirt through the clutch arm hole. pull back the gaiter and spray in with an extension tube like you find on the tins of spray grease, do it with the engine running. don't go as mad with it so as to soak the drive plate though...!!
I have done this on a load of cars where the clutch has gone heavy, makes a big difference!
yes, I know its a bodge... but if it makes the clutch lighter on an old car...
