clio climat crazy fan

the other dayi was driving along and all was well. untill i decided to turn the fan off. the pannel says off but the fan starts goin full tilt.
swich back onto auto and it slows a bit but is still very fast and cant will not respond to the speed control any ideas? im thinking resistor? any one no where its located on these ?
